This project involved the full interior design of a new 800 sq.ft. annex extension alongside a considered refurbishment of the existing ground floor (approx. 1,400 sq.ft.) of a traditional family home in Hampton. Delivered over a 10-month period, the key challenge was enhancing and updating the existing space without fully redesigning it, working carefully within a sensible budget while still achieving a cohesive overall look to the new annex. The new annex introduces a contemporary edge while remaining respectful to the original house. Carefully curated finishes — including chevron flooring, layered panelling, statement wallpapers, and refined detailing, create visual continuity throughout both old and new spaces. We reconfigured the dining area and established strong design consistency, visually linking the original house with the annex. The annex can function either as a fully self-contained living space or open seamlessly to the main house via glazed French doors. The result is an elegant, well-balanced home where modern living sits comfortably alongside traditional charm.
